This policy describes how Newlands ("we") handles information when you use our website and apps.

Information we collect and use

We collect information you provide, including account and profile details, phone number or email where provided, prompts, uploads, creations, and communications. We also collect gameplay and social activity, transaction records where applicable, and technical information such as IP address, device and browser details, identifiers, and error logs. Cookies and similar storage support sign-in, preferences, and analytics.

We use this information to operate and improve Newlands, generate content, personalize your experience, connect players, send service messages and notifications, provide support, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

With contacts permission, we receive contact phone numbers and store hashed versions to find friends and notify you when they join. Other users who have your number may discover your profile. We use analytics and session recordings, including gameplay images and interactions, to understand usage and improve the service.

Sharing

Information is processed by providers supporting the service, including Supabase (accounts and storage), Vercel and Fly.io (hosting), OpenAI and Anthropic (AI features), Expo and Apple (app delivery and notifications), and analytics, authentication, or payment providers where used. AI features send relevant prompts, uploads, and creation context to AI providers. Providers may change as the service evolves, and information may be processed outside your country.

Your public profile, shared creations, and social or multiplayer activity may be visible to others. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or other business transfer.

Retention and your choices

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, considering its nature, account activity, and legal, security, and operational needs. Some information may remain in backups or records after deletion where permitted or required by law.

You can manage contacts and notification permissions in your device settings. To request access, correction, or deletion of your information or account, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it, contact charlie@newlands.gg. We may need to verify your identity; requests are subject to applicable law. Disabling a permission does not itself delete information already collected.
